Welcome to YWAM's Skills4All Development Centre, located in Worcester, South Africa. We are dedicated to equipping learners with valuable vocational skills, alongside instilling Biblical Christian values and character traits. Our mission is to empower and disciple individuals, enabling them to excel in job applications, start their own businesses, and achieve sustainable success.

As Trevor Noah highlights in his book "Born A Crime" there's more to the saying, "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for a lifetime." We believe in providing not only the skills but also the necessary tools for success. At Skills4All, we are committed to supporting our graduates in their job searches and business ventures, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our History

Our journey began in 1986 when YWAM established its presence on a farm just outside Worcester. Initially focused on making God's love tangible through community development projects and training programs, we expanded our impact when YWAM moved to town in 1998.

In 2014, the German couple, Damaris and Gerd Reissmann, visited YWAM Worcester and were exposed to the significant needs of the local communities, including poverty, drug and alcohol abuse, and the lack of solid education and training. This led to the birth of the YWAM Skills Centre in collaboration with some of YWAM’s passionate volunteers such as Bruno Guntelach, Dandeline Couvaras, and Danielia Hermanus.

Our Objectives

Our primary objective is to empower individuals with the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to society. Through comprehensive programs, including courses in computer literacy, office management, carpentry, welding, culinary arts, baking, hairdressing, sewing, life skills, obtaining driver's licenses and more, we equip learners with the necessary tools for personal and professional growth.

Partnerships

We strongly believe in the power of collaboration with local partners. By working closely with businesses, other training providers, organisations, and community leaders who share our vision, we ensure our training programs align with current job market needs. Through these partnerships, we offer relevant and up-to-date training, providing practical experience, industry insights, and networking opportunities. Together, we create a supportive network that empowers our students for success.

Internationally, we are proud to partner with Schif e.V. in Germany. This fruitful collaboration has played a vital role in the success of the YWAM Skills4All Development Centre, enabling us to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities through skills training and empowerment.

Accreditation

While Skills4All is not currently accredited with SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority), we proudly offer some of our programmes in partnership with trusted providers that hold full SAQA accreditation through the relevant SETA (Sector Education and Training Authority). These accredited programmes are clearly marked, ensuring transparency and credibility for our learners.

As an integrated training ministry of YWAM Worcester, we hold the highest honours, a five-star rating (valid 2023-2026), from the esteemed Global Accreditation Association (GAA). This recognition speaks to our commitment to delivering exceptional training and upholding rigorous standards. Rest assured, we are dedicated to providing you with top-quality education and training opportunities.
